The
Audimax was a loudspeaker. It first advertised in 1922, though
it appears to be an updated model of Doolittle's earlier Amplifone.
The dimensions of this model were 11 x 16 x 9 inches. The
case was a polished mahogany cabinet.
Doolittle's manufacturing operations gave way to the ownership
of Connecticut's oldest radio station, WDRC in Hartford.
It took to the air on December 10, 1922 as WPAJ in
New Haven.
