On Sunday, August 21, 2022, nearly 150 alumni, listeners and friends gathered at Farrell's Restaurant in Portland for the annual Connecticut Radio Reunion. This year it was an unofficial celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Hartford radio station WDRC.

A Virtual Guestbook was created for people to post their greetings and memories of The Big D.

Longtime WDRC Production Director Dave Overson produced several videos in conjunction with this gathering and numerous attendees brought memorabilia ranging from tee shirts and jackets to newspaper ads and publicity photos.

Extensive pre-promotion was done utilizing the WDRC Alumni and Remembering Hartford Radio Facebook pages.

There was no live broadcast associated with the August gathering, although WDRC's current ownership conducted its own 100th Anniversary event a month later.

For the sake of historical accuracy it should be noted that WDRC AM went on the air from New Haven as WPAJ on December 10, 1922.
