We regret
to report the passing of one of WDRC's most popular
personalities. Don Wade worked at Big D from 1964-1967,
holding down several time slots, most notably the morning
drive program after Ron
Landry and before Sandy
Beach.
In September
2012 Don suffered a seizure while traveling to his daughter's
wedding. Doctors discovered a growth on his brain that developed
into brain cancer. Don and his wife, Roma, co-hosted the morning
show on WLS in Chicago from August 1989 until December 2012.
Don was 72 when he passed away in Florida on Friday, September
