What's
on the radio tonight? On December 6 & 7, 1928, this is what
New Haven radio station WDRC (226 meters) offered. These
schedules appeared in the New Haven Register newspaper (courtesy
of John Doolittle).
John's
father, Franklin Malcolm
Doolittle, put WPAJ on the air on December 10, 1922.
On February 21, 1926 the call letters were changed to WDRC
(Doolittle Radio Corporation). Programs began
originating from brand new studios at 11 Asylum Street in Hartford
on December 5, 1930. Click here
for more on WDRC's early history.
