In late 2020, former WPOP morning man and program director Woody Roberts published a book titled Horse Racing & Rock 'N' Roll (available at Amazon), about the thriving music scene in Austin, Texas.

As he said in his email, "Ed, hope you enjoy this Austin music history trip. Years are whizzing by, glad you are still there. From Woody, still here."

Woody passed away in Austin in May 2023; he was 82.
