Elsewhere on this site are newspaper articles noting the end of WPOP's music years. Deejay Bob Craig hosted the final locally produced music program just before 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, 1975. The next morning WPOP listeners awoke to the all-news sound of NBC's NIS - News and Information Service. While WPOP News Director Charley Steiner remained, a new stable of network voices reported national and world events including Alan Walden, Bill Lynch, John Cameron Swayze, Jr., Ed Brown, Charles McCord, Ray Rice, Frank Gorin, Rosemary Frisino, Cliff Barrett, Barbara Hoctor, David Henderson, Doris McMillon, Sue O'Brien, Gary Alexander, Bob Schmidt, Gordon Graham and Ann Taylor.
